March marks the 11th anniversary of Macon's WPGA-58.
WPGA signed on in March, 1995 as the area's first FOX affiliate but this relationship was brief. "Fox 58" became "58-ABC" on January 1, 1996.
The station tried and failed to offer local news programs. Their non-network schedule includes game shows, Entertainment Tonight, Martha Stewart, Judge Mathis and The People's Court.
WPGA was one of the first in the area to broadcast in HD.
The station's current slogan is "We Are Family" and uses the song from Sister Sledge in its promotions.
WPGA is the only locally owned TV station in Macon, owned by Register Communications along with three radio stations: "Radio Disney" affiliate WNEX-AM Macon, "Radio Disney" WPGA AM and "Mix 100.9" WPGA-FM radio of Perry, Georgia

Photos of studio location, Forsyth St just off I-75 in Macon. This was a former medical office building. Now houses WPGA TV, WPGA "mix 100.9" and Radio Disney AM 980 & AM 1400. All locally owned by Register Communications Notice the "original" logo from when the station switched to ABC from FOX in 1996. (the TV station signed on in 1995 as the area's first FOX affiliate.)
