If someone is commuting (or in my case, works all over GA and is on the road frequently) and may want to listen to local news on the radio, What are the options?
WSB-2 simulcasts their 6:00 news on radio stations around the state. They call it the "Action News Radio Network" and can be heard on several stations.
I personally know that "Dock 103.9" from the Lake Oconee airs Channel 2's news at 6pm.
WALB-10 in Albany simulcasts their 6:00 "WALB News 10" on two stations: Country B-100 (100.3) and AM960 "The Light" (Gospel)
And of course, you can hear any channel 6 audio over 87.7fm.
Augusta's WJBF over 87.7 can be heard as far as Dublin, GA. Tallahassee's WCTV over 87.7 can be heard as far north as Albany. And Birmingham's Fox 6 over 87.7 can be heard near LaGrange and Carrollton.
NO station in Columbus or Macon offers a simulcast of a local TV news. There have been partnerships with local radio to offer news reports but they are never reliable. The partnerships changed frequently. And local radio news is difficult to find at best.
