Thought I would share photos of the WMAZ-13 transmitter site located on US-129 ALT/"Cochran Short Route" about 15 miles east of Macon city limits. This is directly across from the WMGT-41 transmitter and old studio building. This building also housed the original studios of WMAZ. Prior to 1974, WMAZ had studios at this site AND small studios and offices in an office building across from city hall in Downtown Macon. Notice the station's "doppler" radar is located here. All of the Macon area TV stations have their transmitters in this area (Twiggs County/Bibb county border) about 10 miles south of I-16 east of Macon.

If possible, I would love to see WMAZ's present building and live trucks. Thanks for all the other pics.

Do you think you may get a chance to get pics of WMAZ studios/live trucks GARTV? I tried to get photos of WMAZ's studios but they are in a high traffic area. It was difficult to do. Also they do have a security fence that makes it difficult to get photos of the Studio building itself where their vehicles are parked. I'll get something soon. I do know they have older live vehicles, but many late model SUV's. And they heavily promoted the fact that they own a Ford Escape Hybrid.
