Will the Macon market get a My Network affiliate that is non-digital. I know that WBMN will become CW. WGNM will become a full time CTN affiliate or at least, all-religious. FOX 24 digital channel will air My Network programs. The cable company I am with is Valley Cable in Fort Valley, it do not have digital channels. So where it leave the citzens of Fort Valley without Dish or Direct TV.

No, Macon will not have a broadcast affiliate (analog) for MyNetwork. And I have no idea what the cable companies plan. But "WBMN" is a cable only station primarily on COX Cable "middle georgia" as "WB3". That will be the new CW station for Macon, probably called "CW3" as it is on channel 3 on the cable system. I live a short distance from Ft. Valley and I remember their having WATL on their system. They are to be the new MyNetwork station in Atlanta. So if Valley still has that, you'll get it. And regarding another post, I ask you do they still have the Atlanta and Columbus stations on Valley cable without restriction in Ft. Valley? Ft. valley is part of the Macon market but for some reason the cable company there got away with having WRBL, WTVM, WXIA, WSB, WAGA and WATL without having to block programing AND offered the local Macon stations as well. While in Macon, Warner Robins (where I live), Bryon and Jones County subscribers to COX cable had WTVM and WAGA dropped completely in 2000 (never had WATL) and have had network and syndicated programs blocked on WSB, WXIA and WGCL . Example: "Dr Phil" on at 5pm on WXIA is blacked out forcing you to watch "Dr Phil" at 10am on WMAZ. Or even with the network s shows, WMAZ delays the CBS talk shows after David Letterman to after 2am. You cannot watch them on WGCL as they are blacked out at their "normal" 12:35 start. WMAZ airs syndicated "Ellen" at 12:35am and the cable has to blackout WGCL's much earlier broadcast of Ellen. What do cable viewers get when programs are blacked out? Informercials with a ticker message at the bottom telling you why you cant get the show indicated on the program guide. It annoyed the hell out me for a long time and I switched to Dish Network two years ago. (sorry for the rant) Dish network will offer MyNetwork and CW stations as the current WB and UPN stations on the system switch over. The stations available for areas that don't have their own local affiliate are WBZL Miami (wb to "CW South Florida") WWOR New York (UPN to MyNetwork "My9") WPIX New York (WB to CW) KWGN Denver (Current WB, don't remember where they are going) KTLA Los Angeles (WB to CW) WSBK Boston (UPN to CW) I subscribe to each of these stations (less than $5 per month for all) mainly because I enjoy watching the local news on these stations and the time zone differences allows me to watch something I may have missed earlier.

When Valley Cable customer did have WXIA, sometimes (but rarely) the Dr. Phil show was blacked out. The last time I remember Valley Cable really blacked out a show was when Fox 5 used to air Jerry Springer in the morning, since WMGT aired Jerry in afternoon they really enforce the black out rule. Also, they sometimes blacked out WSB in the morning when WTVM aires Montel Williams Show. But don't blacked out WTVM at 3 p.m. when they air Montel Williams Show, Fox 24 also shows Montel show at 3 p.m. To best of my knowlegde the never blacked out WRBL when CBS Soaps are showing. We can either flip to WMAZ or WRBL to see the soaps.
