Noticed along with the new and improved traffic graphics on Fox5. that at least on the evening newscasts, the anchors are now providing the traffic info, instead of Art "Mad Man" Mehring. Is Cheryl White still doing traffic in the mornings? If not, has Fox5 severed ties with Total Traffic?

Cheryl still does traffic in the mornings. I've noticed that Margo Johnson is no longer with FOX5 & they no longer use the helicopter shots for the afternoon traffic reports. I really don't like the anchors reading the traffic report. Is FOX5 cutting back on traffic so they can spend more money on other stuff?! Last night I caught the last second of a promo with something about "FOX5 & HD." Did anyone else see it? I hope I see the entire promo tonight.

I don't particularly like the idea of the anchors reading the traffic info either. I wish they hadn't let Margo Johnson go either. I'm thinking they let Chris Monroe go too, and he use to be the morning traffic reporter over on Channel 2, prior to Mark Arum being named the morning traffic reporter.
On 46, I liked their morning newscast better when Joy Barge was their primary traffic reporter. A year before CBS 46 canceled the morning newscast on us like they did, they let her go. They really took the "joy" out of our morning. I do like Sheldon Fox though.
On 11, I still remember when Frank Pritchard was their morning traffic reporter. They demoted him to the weekend morning newscast, when they named Jim Basile their morning traffic reporter, then they let him go. Weekends, we had been seeing Rob Langer. Lately, we've been seeing Rob Langer on the weekday newscasts, and Esther Caspino on the weekend newscasts.
I still remember the late Keith Kalland. Before he passed away, my grandmother and I liked watching his traffic reports. I remember it still, like it was only yesterday. It pretty much hasn't been the same ever since.
Here's an idea I'd like to see FOX 5 consider. We see Cheryl White in studio presenting the traffic coverage during the morning newscasts. I'd like very much to see her or a new face presenting traffic coverage during the early evening newscasts. Just an idea.
