Another example of how far behind in the times we are here in Macon. Even stations without newscasts get nice satalite trucks while in Macon, we have this.... Photos were taken 4/28/2006.....not 1986!

I agree. I bet they barely use them because they barely work! I remember I was so excited when FOX 24 got a live truck. I loved seeing them do live reports. However, that has worn off and I wished they would get their act together!

I find it amusing that WGXA's live truck has the words "24 hour newssource" which was a slogan of many stations in the late 80's and early 1990's. And WGXA has NEVER been a "24 hour newssource".
OK, they purchased a used truck and kept some of the previous owner's graphics. How cheap!
You NEVER see news updates or special reports and WGXA elimiinated their early evening and weekend newscasts years ago.
Even WMAZ goes to sleep. They do promote their website for "breaking news" but other than the weather radar (computer) the website is not as updated as quickly as they "promote"

I think they used it for 'Atlanta Tonight' and they probably still use it for 'AustoScoop.'
