Montgomery Alabama's second TV station is WSFA channel 12. The call letters stand for (W) (S)outh's (F)inest (A)irport. (They must have been really drunk for that idea!) WSFA-TV is the first VHF channel in the Montgomery area, but the second station to sign on in Montgomery. They started on Christmas Day in 1954 and has been a lifelong NBC affiliate. Like WCOV-20, this station also has an extensive history recorded on their website www.wsfa.comWSFA is the top station in the Montgomery/Selma market and has the strongest signal which reaches most of the "Lower" half of Alabama. WSFA is the default NBC affiliate for SE Alabama (Dothan) which does not have their own local NBC station. Their studio location is in the city limits just south of Downtown Montgomery. Their address is 12 E. Delano Ave at the corner of Delano and South Court Street. Surrounded by barbed wire fence: all employee and company vehicles. Newer station vehicles are parked in the covered area. Back of building from shopping center alley Older Live truck. (Newer vehicles parked in covered area) WSFA vehicles included Jeep Liberty and Chevrolet Impala Notice the 1990's WSFA logo at main entrance Building includes older WSFA logo from 1970's minus the old number 12 Delano Ave FRONT of building View from Court Street side. WSFA is the default NBC affiliate for SE Alabama (Dothan) which does not have their own local NBC station. Not necessarily true. WJHG is also considered the default NBC affiliate for that market.

WSFA is the default NBC affiliate for SE Alabama (Dothan) which does not have their own local NBC station. Not necessarily true. WJHG is also considered the default NBC affiliate for that market. Over the air, you can get WJHG (Florida), WALB (Georgia) and WSFA (Alabama) in the Dothan Market. Last time I stayed overnight in Dothan hotel (few months ago), only WSFA was available (on cable) while many years ago, both WJHG and WSFA were on cable in Dothan. Note: The WALB signal is currently not available to much of South Georgia because of the recent tower collapse. Their temporary transmitter covers 20-40 miles from the city at best. But at full power, WALB's signal reaches 2-3 times as far.
